AutoShow In Motion at Irvine

Well... just got back home...its kinda late, spent the early part of the day with Tina at AutoShow in Motion that is sponsor by General Motors. Even though most of the cars are American it was fun. First thing we did was to go to the passenger car section so that we can qualify to drive the Corvette. All the cars were GMs, Saturns, or Pontiac. They also had some competitor cars like Corolla, Altima, Acura TL and the Civic Si! It was funny because we didn't even bother to go test drive the american cars we just went straight to the Acura TL section. The wait seems long but it was only like 5-10minutes.
The Acura TL was so comfortable, we got the model without the DVD navigation but it was still very nice! Everyone in the course was stressing the cars to the limit. The TL is such a NICE Comfortable FAssSST Car. Acceleration was not bad and the turning was tight! Too bad the course was no that big, finished it in about 1 minute :( After I drove it, It was Tina's turn. She like the car too and not just because her initials are TL too! haha
After the TL, we waited for the Civic Si...It was Blue and a Manual! It was pretty nice, acceleration is pretty good but damn I need more practice. Didn't even get it to Fourth gear...damn course too small. Man...and when I finished the course and was parking I forgot to set it to neutral and staled it, so sad and embrassed. It was parked pretty crooked and man, felt so bad, pretty gay though, I did the course with no problem but when I went to park it, I staled it. Aw wells thats why I need more practice, I guess I am still nervous. oHHh yea and before I even test drive that car the previous driver freaken beat the shit out of it, before we even got into the car we can smell something burning or some kind of strong oil smell. Only thing I didn't like about the Civic Si was that the location of the shifter was on the console area instead being in the center like most cars.
Anyways we also tested:
  • Escalade is very luxurious
  • Lexus RX330 which is fast but not as tight on the corners as the other luxury SUVs.
  • The Mercedes C240 felt pretty fast with 177lb of torque and 168HP but it is FAT so its 0-60 is like 8+ seconds.
  • The Hummer H2 was amazing! The course was compose of many hills and mountain like terrain. Went up a 30 or 35 degree high with no problem and was amazed when I drove over a pile of dirt that made the whole car tilt side way like it was going to roll over. Honestly u can just roll down the window and touch the ground, that was pretty cooL. Funny when Tina drove it, she was screaming a little bit when we went over the big mount of dirt, she felt like she was gonna roll over.
  • The BMW 325i felt pretty fast but again like the C240 it weighs a lot, like 3300lb, 184hp and 175lb of torque.
  • The TSX fell in between the V6 accord and the TL, 200HP and 166lb of torque is not bad, feels pretty smooth and classy. It was a White TSX! It look Great.
  • Finally there was the New Corvette! Man...it was FAST! 400hp and 400lbs of torque on your feet! When u get in the car, everything automatically adjust to you! It was smooth and powerful! Man...the cool part is that you can floor it because the course is mainly one straight-away and two corners. Damn...0-60 in 4.2 seconds!

It was a rainly but fun driving day! There were so much tires screeching and engine roaring, I had an awesome good time. Oh yea, Tina is a great driver! She was drifting on all corners and using her drifting techniques haha...but seriously she drives like a pro. AutoShow in Motion in Irvine! Go check it out! Its fun and its free, they even give you a free lunch and gift bag.

The Past the Future

So earlier this past week I played Need For Speed III Hot Pursuit on PSX. So I got home and started to search for my NFSIII:HP for PC so that I can play it on my computer. Went through my whole room and the house trying to search for it. Then finally I checked the closet and there it was, in a box along with some other old burned games. Then it started to get me thinking about the past and I realized that its only been two years since High School and I already felt that I have aged so much. Even though I felt that way, I didn't feel that I accomplished much in those two years. Mainly just sat on computer, go out with friends, and do stupid things. Well anyways, I think I should focus on things that I really want and do things one at a time. I get distracted too easy, so I really need a push in the right direction. Somebody please help me! Well thats my thoughts for now, Laters!
